How Navy Reserve Officer Program Work?
I am a soon-to-finish Bachelor of Science (Economics) students. Speak three languages, English, but it's where I am most concerned. I wanted to be a USMC or USN officer since 10-year-old. I am committed to joining a service, but because I have the opportunity to work in the entertainment software industry (a job I want so badly, I would work for free), I looked to serve in the reserves. As I learned, the Marines do not accept the officials directly in reserves, but the Navy does not. This is a bit disappointing (I'm in a line of men Marino). With a background in economy and an understanding of a foreign language (Persian) it seems that the Navy can consider me as a logistics officer or intelligence agent if applicable. How Does a reserve to meet these kinds of roles though? Is not it just "one weekend a month two weeks a year? Is there anyone who could explain why is a reserve officer is in those roles? What exactly is a drill weekend?
