Why Japanese dislike Airbus?

Airbus' presence in Japan is pathetic, Once I read in an aviation forum that the Japanese airline excutives doesn't bother to check Airbus' tenders thoroughly when buying new planes, Why is that?

Boeing is outsouring major subassemblies to Japanese mfrs. The new 787 Dreamliner will have some sections produced by Fuji Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi.

When you share the production with one of your major markets, the orders keep flowing (to Boeing.)
When you don't, you don't get so many orders (Airbus.)
