Old Airplane
Any suggestions for an 18 month old on an airplane?
My sister will be taking my nephew on an airplane soon. 2 things:
-What little gift can I buy for him to play with on ther plane?
-Any other tips from experienced travellers with babies is appreciated.
take food that he will like, not all airlines offer meals nowadays. have him drink something during take off and landing. Take a full days supply of diapers and a change of clothes for both. Get him a new coloring book or a quite toy. (my mom gave mine a toy cell phone, and for the first 45 mins i had to tell everyone it was a toy). If she has the money i would invest in a portable DVD player, cause not all in flight movies are kid friendly.
I would advise against druging the child b/c for most kids under 2 things like benadryl actually hype them up.
Board books, a lovely, his car seat if she got him a seat too (i recommand, so she can have some space for herself and she won't have to hold him the whole time.)
If she can tell her to sit in the first row of the section her seat is in (they generally have the most leg room) which means that he will have some room to play.
