What is the service like on an American Airlines flight?
I'm flying from LHR to JFK on an American Airlines flight, this summer. I've never flown with them before and I was wondering if they're any good? What should I expect? Is the entertainment usually good?
I do Paris-New York or Paris-Chicago a couple of times a year. American Airlines' transatlantic flights are pretty middle-of-the-road. They're not really nice, but they're not intolerable, either. Food is okay--usually a choice of chicken or beef. Entertainment is usually with those personal screens in the back of the seat in front of you. Depending on when you travel, you might get new movies and shows, or they might be several weeks old. The plane fleet is mostly reliable old Boeing 747/757/767 workhorses.
