When do you stop believing in fate and begin to take action?
I feel silly posting this but hear it goes. I was on a flight from jfk to atlanta a couple of days ago. I was sitting in my seat on the airplane reading a magazine. I look up from my magazine to notice the guy in front of me, he was military and wearing the sand colored military fatigues and had short hair streaked with gray and very nice blue eyes. he wasn't wearing a wedding ring so I can only assume he wasn't married..The flight landed in Atlanta and as we waited for the aircraft door to open he completely turned around and smiled..I smiled back and waited for him to say something, anything.I sat there with butterflies in my stomach and a belief in my head that if it was fated he would of spoke. He deplaned a head of me and I was held up waiting for my bag by the time I had deplaned he was gone... . I feel like I was wrong, life is about moments of oppurtunity and I let one pass.
I completely agree with you. Faith is simply there to let you know that as long as you keep working towards something you will get it, because someone on the other side has made it possible, but so many people forget that faith means nothing without work. You can have faith for example that you will get good grades as long as you believe everything will work out, but of course you will have to put in the work to truly see the result of that faith. I always tell people that faith is still the same thing as a goal. You need to have a clear idea of what it is your faithful about, and continue to work towards that plan the same way you would a goal knowing that it may take a year, month, minute, second for it to actually happen...all faith means is that it will happen
